A short history of Grand Tourisme

old french carGrand Tourisme is the French term for Grand Touring.

Its name was derived from the Grand Tour which has it roots from the 16th century. Typically, it means touring for curiosity and the ones that usually participate in this tour are male students or members of elite families.

After so many years, the Grand Tourisme was born. The inspiration of the Grand Tourisme’s maker came from this Grand Tour which used to be meant for the elite who want to travel places to see some good sites, aside from those male students.

Numerous cars that are being manufactured now are being patterned from the excellent and impressive design of the notable GT. In English, a Grand Tourisme car is also being referred to as the Grand Tourer because it can travel a long way and riders can be assured that they will enjoy a smooth trip.
